Short and young, smart and speaks English like a bird, tells his fantastic and marvellous story to the press and to the guests. He has already visited Asia, Africa and will be visiting Europe. He will be here to visit Paris nicely. During his stay, he will be staying at the Indian Embassy….

‘HE CYCLED INTO D.C.-AFTER 39,000 MILES’
Bimal Kanti Dey of28, has bicycled into Washington D.C. leaving behind him 39,000 miles and lost none of his faith in man’s goodness. The 5 feet 4, 98 pounds native of Calcutta set forth out on December 20, 1967, and has been on the road ever since “But I do not plan”, he said, ” I go and I learn”. He said that frequently he is asked if people can join him in his travels. “I reply that you are welcome to follow me, but don’t think I will follow you. My way of life is completely free, but we have to make some restrictions to make our road smooth.”
“There are nations like India”, Dey said, “that are philosophical and others like the United States, th:lt are materialistic. We need a bridge between the two types of nations. I would like to be that bridge”……….
